This is the story of four bright young heroes who are bravely cycling approximately 8,000 miles from Cairo to Cape Town through 9 countries in order to arrive in South Africa in time for the FIFA World Cup.
After stumbling across an article one morning in London’s Metro newspaper, four complete strangers were brought together after Lindsey Cole received over 300 responses to her article looking for companions to join her in her World Cup Cycle Ride.
Together we are aiming to raise over £50,000 for ‘Land Aid’, ‘Footballs For Fun’, Schistosomiasis Control Initiative and the International Childcare Trust between us.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported and sponsored us!
Dickon, Duncan, John and Lindsey.

7.30 am 29th march, a very wet Monday morning in Addis Ababa, I am watching the world go by and a rather wet Westerner pulls up outside my hotel on a bike. After a few minutes conversation I find out all about Cycle to the Cup and very am envious of Duncan as I am returning to the UK for a month.
Excellent idea, and great causes. Donation on it way guys and good luck to all of you.
